As an experienced lawyer at Gooden Justice & Defense, I have resolved many types of employment issues, including wrongful termination derived from discrimination and violation of public policy. Employee rights claims are my passion, and I strive to ensure my clients are treated fairly, whether in termination cases or continued employment scenarios. Additionally, I have dedicated a portion of my practice to criminal defense for individuals involved in criminal prosecution. I possess experience with all stages of litigation for those charged with offenses such as DUIs, drug offenses, and probation violations at both the misdemeanor and felony levels. At Gooden Justice & Defense, I believe in justice served with integrity.
Before becoming licensed by the Idaho State Bar, I earned my Juris Doctor from the University of Idaho, College of Law. During my time there, I actively participated in the Low-Income Taxpayer Clinic, served as the Managing Editor of the Idaho Law Review, worked as a research assistant focused on partisan gerrymandering, and dedicated over 100 hours to pro-bono service. Following graduation, I completed a clerkship for the Honorable Chief Justice G. Richard Bevan of the Idaho Supreme Court. Since then, my career has been centered on criminal defense, including my work with Gooden Justice & Defense, as well as tackling various Plaintiff's employment law issues, always ensuring that Justice is served with integrity.
Perspective is my specialty at Gooden Justice & Defense. When individuals are embroiled in litigation, facing criminal prosecution, or dealing with workplace discrimination, it’s understandable that they can be consumed by strong emotions. My representation comes at a time that might be the worst in someone’s life, and I appreciate the challenges inherent in that. I always strive to see the situation from my client’s perspective, which allows me to better understand the factors that adversely affect them, enabling me to develop the most effective plan to advocate for their interests.
I have made it my mission to protect the rights of those who are vulnerable. My clients can expect nothing less than my full dedication to achieving that goal, both in the courtroom and throughout all stages of litigation.
I am committed to protecting the rights of workers in Idaho. I have experience in cases involving sexual harassment in the workplace, discrimination, wage disputes, retaliation, and wrongful termination.
At Gooden Justice & Defense, I can draft, review, and negotiate contracts and agreements to protect your business interests with the utmost professionalism. My experience spans all types of contracts, from employment agreements to vendor agreements.
At Gooden Justice & Defense, I handle all felony and misdemeanor cases, as well as probation or parole violations. Given Idaho's harsh stance on crime, individuals are often treated as guilty before a conviction. I am here to ensure that this does not happen to you.
At Gooden Justice & Defense, I can represent you throughout every phase of a lawsuit: from investigation all the way through trial, settlement, or appeal. I will aggressively advocate for you, whether that means attempting to avoid litigation in the first place or fighting for your interests in the state and federal courts.
My experience working at the Federal Defender Services of Idaho and clerking at the Idaho Supreme Court has uniquely positioned me to provide effective appellate services in both civil and criminal matters. Appellate practice differs significantly from trial practice, as cases on appeal already have established facts. I bring the experience and dedication necessary to excel, developing the most critical appellate practice skill: accepting the established facts and navigating them with integrity to ensure justice is served.
